The removals team taking on a greyhound for a night

Peter Sadler Removals and Logistics is giving its employees a Christmas party of a lifetime on the 17th of December. The removals and logistics company has bought a slot in the $1.65 million Phoenix at The Meadows to give back to people who make the business tick.

It means staff get the chance to own a greyhound for the night with a one-in-eight chance to win $1 million in prize money.

Peter Sadler says his employees are part of the family, so he wanted to give them a new and exciting experience to thank them for their hard work and loyalty.

“We wanted to share something special with our people. Our people worked incredibly hard during covid, so we wanted to give them something to look forward to,” Mr Sadler said.

Mr Sadler prides himself on the strong work culture he has created since 1997. He ensures staff are treated to team dinners, overseas trips, bonding activities, and now the chance to share in something unique.

“The prize money would mean so much to our people. It can change a family's idea of how much they can spend on Christmas, a holiday, or just giving them the money to do something they have always wanted to do with their family,” Mr Sadler said.

This is the first year Peter Sadler Removals and Logistics will be taking part in The Phoenix, and they cannot thank The Meadows Greyhound Racing Club and CEO Scott Wuchatsch enough for their assistance.

“I think what Scott is doing for the club is great, he is bringing awareness to the industry. He has helped us a lot when organising our Christmas party and has given us the opportunity to give our people a unique experience.”

If the team wins, they will donate part of the potential winnings to GAP (Greyhound Adoption Program).

“I had no idea about greyhounds before this, but I have now learnt that they are beautiful placid animals. I just think it is the right thing to give back to these dogs and to raise awareness. We want to send a message that there are good people in the industry,” Mr Sadler said.
